Hi all I thought I will post a few shots of our dark sky night , well the setting up anyway of last Saturday night .
The 2 big Dobs are 20 and 22 inches and are awesome faint fuzzy hunters , I seen more 12-15th magnitude galaxies that night than all my previous nights combined
, especially Allan's 22 incher with its Argo Navis its a beast !! this works so very well its so easy to find anything that this scope is capable of seeing , and mate ,, that's a LOT!!

One more thing , its eyepiece is directed down at 22 degrees and even at the zenith you are standing on the ground , and its a f 4.5 !! .
The 20 inch is so light weight its scary ! , weighs next to nothing with its space/modular design and it moves so well for a monster .

The black GSO 16 inch has some of the best large scope Newt optics I have ever looked thru ,,
how do they do it ? , its just so good with a 9mm Delos .
There was a nice Bintel 200mm f8 as well , the owner had some nice mounted 15x70 binos , these were great on M32 , filled the field .
My Istar was the only refractor this night , and every one that looked thru her were impressed with the quality of the views , even tho it was probably only 5-6 out of 10 , high hazy cloud coming thru , see the moon shot at 20 degrees off the horizon and you will see what I mean .
I snapped Venus with my Sony A200 and Istar at 1000mm , this is raw and as I said every one could not believe the lack of CA in my Achromat , the 20 inch owner has a TV127 and he wants to have a head to head with me , bring it on
