Baz! Lovely concept! Certainly does invoke emotion. Actually, I like the second one. To me it looks like the small shoes are snuggling up to the big shoe.
I don't entirely disagree with Chris's comment below about focus. I like the focus point being on the small shoes and the big ones out of focus. That's what's making the images. But I reckon they could do with just a smidge more depth of field to bring just a little more of the little shoes sharper.
I do disagree with him dismissing the shots of some boots on the floor being interesting. You've proven that they can be, and invoking emotion to boot. (See what I did there with the pun
