Thanks guys, I do have some more subs and one dark, hopefully when I'm up to speed with PS and DSS I can tease some more detail out. This trip was my first serious attempt at astrophotography, I've got heaps to learn.

My 5DII (bought feb 2009) has quite a few hot pixels, which fade as the temps drop, this image was early in the morning, the hot pixels don't really show much on full images, crops are a different story. I found that too much exposure brought the background noise up, the frames that worked best were those that looked a little underexposed.
This one was taken around 4am and it was damn cold, hovering around freezing.
