Actually - for mirrors this large you are starting to incur more risks by removing them. The obsession website has some good info on cleaning the primary in-situ. I clean mine once a year in place, but go to lots of trouble to keep water away from the encoders.
Contact cleaner and lubricant spray where the telephone jack plugs in would be my next step.
