AstroSize

I have added AstroSize to Dave's Astro Tools. AstroSize is a small program that lets you determine the actual (i.e. not angular) size of an astronomical object directly from the on-screen display of your own image or your imaging camera's live feed. To do so you will need to know the distance to the object.

Most reference sources quote the distance to an object. But of those that do, it seems that not many quote the object's size and even if they do that size is mostly quoted as an angle of arc. So it is often quite difficult to find the actual size of an object from source references. Yet knowing its actual size helps one to better understand and appreciate the object.

You can find AstroSize at www.davesastrotools.weebly.com.
