A dithered stack - no calibration

This is just for interest.

This image was taken in August of 2011 with an unmodified 1000D.

No calibration frames have been applied (no bias, darks or flats) and consequently, I gave up on getting the colour right - just a waste of time - so its monochrome. The image itself appears fairly uniform/flat, free of banding, streaks, despite not calibrating individual frames. A head start.

The second image is a crop showing the dithered frames and the residual green colour cast, which is typical of images preprocessed in Pixinsight - easily removed with Wipe in StarTools.

If a CLS-CCD filter was used the cast would be a strong blue - same - remove with Wipe in StarTools or background extraction in Pixinsight.
