Recommended Computer Monitors

Hello everyone
I wasn't sure what forum category to ask this in so I thought I should ask here first.
What is the best, most ideal or recommended computer monitor to use if you are serious about astrophotography or photography in general?
About 3 years ago I purchased a desktop computer and monitor with the prerequisite that it ( the monitor ) was the best I could get for photo editing, and paid A LOT for the 24" monitor alone.
The monitor, I discovered, had such a narrow viewing angle, that what I spent hours in front of the computer editing to look its best looked like rubbish on any other screen – or not visible at all! - or, as I found out, if I moved away from my seated image editing position, everything changed – brightness, contrast, colour saturation etc.
I did my own research and came to the conclusion I needed an IPS ( In Plane Switching ) monitor, and purchased a 24" IPS monitor and I think it is a far superior monitor to what I had.I would be very interested in hearing what other imagers/photographers are using or would recommend.Kind Regards,DarrenPS – I didn't mention the actual brands as I am not brand biased and I do not wish to disrespect either company over one single product.
