TSX Supermodel

I recently upgraded my imaging pc. The new one is 64 bit, has more grunt and runs on Windows 7. The old one ran on XP as I found it stable and reliable.

The downside to a new pc is loading all the software, matching drivers and configuring all the settings.

Last night I finally determined to compile a new TPoint model. Thinking it would take ages, I set it to take 192 points and toddled off to watch a movie with the missus.

About 90 minutes later I was surprised to find it was all done. RMS of about 100 arcseconds. Ordinary. Click on Supermodel and BLAM - 16 arcsecond RMS. how good is that!

I suspect it's a combination of a good sized model to start with, the faster pc and perhaps using the FSQ rather than the RC8.

All I can say is - Super!
