That is truly amazing.

A quick back of envelope calculation: Area of Oz=7,690,000km^2 area of oceans=361,000,000 So the oceans cover 47 time more area than Oz so the average increase in water depth across the country= 47*7= 329mm. Just try to picture the whole country covered with 33cm of water. No wonder all the lakes are full! Of course not all that water was on the surface, much of it has gone into ground water (how much I wonder?)
