M31 @ 50mm

Here is a pic from a few days ago of the Andromeda galaxy I took with the nifty 50 lens, 450D and Polarie.

I was blown away so much detail is possible from such a wide view, it's definitely one of my best astrophotos so far.

It was 1 hour 44 mins worth of 2 minute exposures stacked with a load of darks at ISO 800 and f/4.0.

I'm thinking I can stretch the battery life on the DSLR to 3 hours worth of shots, do you think I'd be likely to see much more improvement with that?
Also after 2 minutes there is a decent amount of LP on the subs but would it be worth going for a bit longer or a bit shorter subs?
