The problem is that, even if using violence for good is seen as justified, it's a 'solution' only available to a relatively few. I won't be jobbing anyone and I suspect most of the others on the forum wouldn't do so either. What would be better to see is someone take the lead in telling off the bogan and other passers by - men and women - joining in. I'd say 4-5 people telling him off would see him back down pretty quick. Unfortunately this isn't how we're trained to act so it's quite rare. What would have been gold of course would have been the little old lady composing herself, pulling herself up to her full height and giving the bogan a gob full.
