IMHO, the 6" or 8" dob would be a better T'scope. No need for her to worry about 'cool down times', moving in 2 pieces should not be too difficult & bigger, brighter images, than a smaller apertured Refractor. Also has lots more room for that extra bit of personalised paint work or sticker.....
