Thanx Ted. The LPI Image capture software has a tracking & Stacking function which tracks, alligns and stacks the images whilst they are collected, you can physically see the image grow as your capturing ! Very clever !
The LPI has always tracked on planets as they are smaller and the screen has a totally black background sky around the planet, so the program can easily determine the tracking/stacking of the target planet, but with the moon, the whole field is quite bright, thus hindering this function, but this was the 1st time the software had tracked on the moon ? ?
By the way, I was This time) using a 10" Newt, tracking with the Neq6p mount, but not guiding, thus the moon was drifting a little !
