I'm sure I'm not the only one doing this but here's a handy tip to save some time.
Not sure how everyone manages there file transfers from laptop to desktop, I use to drag everything oner to a hard drive the load it on to the desk top. This takes ages.
I came up with what I thought was a rather ingenious (even if I say so myself lol) method of automating the whole process as well as backing up the data at the same time.
I have a drop box account and have the the app installed on the laptop and the desktop and I get my imaging software to deposit the images into my Dropbox sync folder and viola, they magically appear on my desktop ready for processing.
Anyone can do this as I think Dropbox give away a free 2 gig storage space for free, no strings attached.
It works really well.
