I have found aligning parallel scopes on an Alt-Az mount difficult, too (I'm trying that with the WO EzyTouch). I suppose a nifty accessory like the ADM Max Guider (

I guess that with side-by-side Dobs you'd still need a way of adjusting their relative aim, since it changes with collimation.
