Hi all,
I tried 'save as AVI' in VirtualDub and this worked when importing the first couple of AVI's into Registax, then when I tried a large AVI it choked just near the end with a 'can't decode this frame' or some such error.
I then tried the drag and drop method with a stack of BMP images and that worked a treat.
