First one is M27 the dumbell nebula at ~1.5 arcsecs/ pixel

Cool Andy, I must get onto some more planetaries. I know we can see some of those down-under.
Cheers

D'ya get the Atiks down under? They're very nice cams considering the price, and the relatively small chip's ideal for planetaries. I used a 2x skywatcher shorty for most of these - crappy barlow, but a big enough piece of glass for the atik. Now I use a GSO/ Astrola 2" job -should be nice and flat.
Cheers for the coments :)

Love the shot of the 7662 (blue snowball). It reminds me of the central structure (brighter oval) I see in the Ghost of Jupiter through the 12.5". The fainter outer structure in the image is very nice as well.
I love looking at planetaries, though I have never bothered with this one (might have to see if it is visible from here and track it down towards the end of the year). I wonder how much of the structure is visible to midsize scopes
oh...the other images are also great

Top Stuff Andy. :cool2: Makes me wish I'd spent the extra hundred buck and gotten the modified ToUcam when I bought mine, they're awesome shots.

I've done an article on modding a QuickCam pro 3000 and I'm working on one for the toucam.
The quickcam one is here (http://www.ukastroimaging.co.uk/forums/pages/qc3ksc1_5.htm)
You won't get shots like these out of a modded webcam unless you swap the chip though. The best I've managed with a normal webcam chip is
http://www.coxellis.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/astroimg/images/webcam/dso/m822.jpg
A lot of detail in the shot was lost to light pollution though and if I'd have been able to guide it, I could have pushed for more.
The chip change for the toucam is actually pretty straight forward - might be a job finding the chip though...
