Jupiter/Ganymede 25th. Nov

The seeing was extremely frustrating so I only got a few test runs in with the ADC & whilst it works just fine for atmospheric dispersion, it does nothing for the seeing conditions of course. There wasn't a quick enough exposure invented to 'freeze' any frames last night :lol::shrug:

Pretty good result, Asimov.

Ganymede has came up quite well, but Jupiter is very soft. Must be some unusual seeing. Still, there is some interesting detail in the clouds, so all in all not a total write off.

The colours look good, the ADC must be working nicely.

Thanks Ivan - Yes it seems to be the way now, that I can get detail easy enough on moons & yet still achieve a mediocre result on Jupiter at the same time. Yes it was unusual seeing actually. A bit like looking into a pool of water but someone was dropping pebbles in & I was getting this rippling effect. Reckon it's only the second time I've seen this type of seeing since starting planet imaging..

ADC - I guess I was hoping for a small miracle but the only advantage on Jupiter @ 45 degrees is I no longer have to worry about an RGB auto shift in Registax...No doubt will come into it's own the lower the target.

Certainly didn't expect this much detail on it considering the crook seeing. Mildly processed; trying not to add any artefacts in.

nice work Asi. love the moon detail. pretty sure you will notice an advantage with the ADC when the seeing is super good, but there is not doubt that it cannot help much with the average this season.
