I am from Moscow (Russia), so I have strong light pollution. But despite this I tried to do a panorama of Milky Way constellations. I am amateur in astrophotography, so don't kick me strongly.
Sumsung NV3,16sec*10frames*6elements,ISO80.
PS. I don't know, how to load image in better than 200KB quality.

Wow, that light pollution is a problem.

Thanks for posting the image, it is always interesting to see the night sky from far away locations!

Sorry, can't make out anything in this one. Be good if you could move further east (i.e. out to the Urals somewhere?) and go through the same process. Actually, I would love to see an image from out that way.

And hello from a comrade with the blood of the Rus in their veins (hence the username).

Clear skies.

Hi Vasya

From what I can make out, this image is taken from Moscow looking south or south west at about 2200 hours. The bright object at lower left would be Jupiter, with Aldebaran below. Capella is the next bright oject to the north. Betelgeuse is over to the far left (south?).

Hmmmm .... then again, this could all be wrong!

I've never been to Moscow, or Russia, but I had a fiddle in Stellarium to get a similar sky view.

That light pollution is unfortunate!

Cheers
John

Maybe look for and try a light pollution filter? It could help.

So, if this problem exist, I post a description for the panorama.

About filters, I don't have them. But to solve the problem of LP I should go to Zvenigorod (it's the only place that I know close enouht to Moscow, there I even saw the Milky Way). I don't know, when I will be able to do it. In addition, my compact camera (Samsung NV3) wouldn't be able to get a photo of the Milky Way (I have tried ever, if you only see that photo, you will definitely ask: "What is THIS?").
Maybe, when I solve these two problems, I will do a secont attempt.

Thanks for posting your answers, it was important for me.
