In an area normally off-limits to tourists (past East Beach at Cape Leveque), there’s some sacred Aboriginal land in and around the sand dunes near Hunters Creek. Fortunately, Ken has connections and was able to get a local Aboriginal guide, Gavin Hunter, to come with us into the dunes so we could do some photography at sunset.
A group of Pandanus Palms took our interest as we photographed them among the sand dunes over the course of a few hours. As the light changed, the palms presented a different and unique image each time.
This set of 3 images is my favourite from the evening.
I ran a poll on Facebook to see which one was the favourite, but the results were split very evenly – with the first one above winning out by just a few votes over the third and the second one close behind again.
My favourite is the last one because of the soft colours and belt of venus, but I love contrast and saturation so A was close behind for me :)
