One of the best, an all round scope that is often likened to provide "apo-like" views. 6" of Maksutov-Newton magic.
I've simply got too many toys, and the solar addiction is demanding a thin-out.
Has 2" Feather Touch focuser, and Telrad. Tube rings, front corrector cap, and factory dew-shield. There is a tube balance system installed towards the rear of the tube as well. Cooling fan on the rear cell, with air inlets spaced about the tube. Shows signs of use, but is in nice condition.
Will ship in a less than glamourous padded case.
PM's please.
AU$950. Buyer to pay shipping and PayPal fees.

Many have asked about the cost of shipping, so I have changed the price to reflect a total shipped price.

Hi Gbeal is it possible for you to take some pictures of the mirror and a clearer image of the front elements. I'm interested in this scope as a friend has one and raves about it.

Cheers

Jeremy. Took a couple this morning, well actually took plenty, but getting the primary picture proved difficult, bordering on impossible. The corrector was easier, and shows dust but you are seeing it in it's worst state, much like shining a flashlight down the tube. In use it is fine.

Dave,
contrary to my expectations (I've just tried it right now), it won't come to focus with my Sony DSLR. This will be similar to the Canon. It isn't too far off, but it will take a little tinkering to make the DSLR come to focus. I recall finding similar a few years ago when I had one of these MN66 scopes, I resolved it by shifting the primary forward on the collimation adjustment screws.
No, no deep sky shots, just some lunar at the moment.

No worries Dave. It is something I will make happen, I want to image with it, if it remains here, so it's something I need to fix, regardless.

I've got the MN-66's RuMak cousin MK-67, back- and in-focus issues can be easily addressed there by slight mirror shifts back and forth via the collimation screws.

Cheers
Steffen.

Hi Steffen,
yes, thank you, I recalled doing this a while back, from memory it wasn't too big a deal.

Slight change of tack here, to assist with making this the deal that someone wants.
OTA, rings, Telrad, etc as before, BUT without Feather Touch or focuser base.
Add your own focuser.
AU$675 plus shipping.
