A strange request I know but just in case there is one lying about I thought I'd ask.

Also if anyone has a link to where one is available for sale elsewhere that would suffice too. I have checked the net extensively myself but had no luck.

Cheers:)

I have a 400D battery door lying around. I use a battery grip so I don't use it.
It's yours for the cost of shipping if it'll fit.

What if you requested earlier? I just threw away a broken 300D before moving...:eyepop: However, I still keep the battry grip, but unlikely to use it any more.
Do you think it work for you?

Cheers,
Gordon

Have you tried contacting Canon - they can probably help? (or camera stores- eg. Ted's)

Some are available on e-bay (search Canon battery cover), I didn't see one for the 300d but there is one for a 350d - is it the same? - Canon will be able to tell you. (Their online help is quite good).

Otherwise there is a shop in US called D&H cameras that sell the battery covers - they're about $15 including postage. Not sure if they have the 300d but they might. They sell on e=bay or you could probably contact them by e-mail.

Regards,
Tony.

Thanks for the kind offer Murphy. The battery doors are a different shape.

However I have just discovered that the battery grip has a little spring door on the side where i can slide the cord for an AC power adapter in. so problem solved as I can just use the camera with the adaptor with the multigrip attached.

Cheers

How heartbreaking to throw a camera away:(. Anyway thanks Gordon for thinking of me. I have a battery grip already and found the solution to my problem there (see other message in this thread).

Mind you I will keep my eyes peeled just in case i find a replacement door. It may still came in handy at a later time assuming the camera doesn't blow up in the meantime.

Cheers

Michael

Thanks Tony,

I was actually in Ted's Camera Store last week but didn't think to ask at that stage.

Anyway as per another message i just posted in this thread I have found a solution to my problem which was how to connect an AC power adapter.

Cheers
