View Full Version here: : Back home from Hospital
G'day everyone,
I haven't been logging on the last few days because I've been in hospital.
Thursday arvo I had my worst migraine attack ever and by the evening had to be hospitalised.
I was tested, jabbed, poked, drugged up and knocked out till the pain eased.
The doctors ordered some CT scans and they came back as all clear.
I do not want to go through that again. It's been years since I've had an attack and all of a sudden they reappear. :(
I've missed a lot of posts so please forgive me if I don't reply, I'm sure there's been some superb work and fantastic posts.
Catchup with you all soon.

Good to hear all is OK Andrew. My mother used to get migraines and about 10 years ago I started to get occasional migraines myself. I've found two things trigger my headaches, the main one is chocolate, any more than a couple of pieces and the next day I suffer, the other is dehydration.

Welcome back Andrew. It can be frustrating when they run all these tests and still fail to find the cause of symptoms. But no news is still good news when it comes to these things.

Hi Andrew, glad your ok mate. I can certainly relate, I suffer from them also. They performed a CT scan on me a few months ago, all clear. Yes, the word chocolate...I read on the net this can cause migraines...I gave up eating it of my own accord & I rarely get them now. Once every 5 or 6 weeks I seem to get them now,(rather than every 2 weeks like I used to) But not as severe.
Stay well mate.

Welcome back Andrew,:hi:
Some say drink plenty water, no caffiene, no chocolate etc, the worst thing with this hobby is lack of sleep. Good thing every night is not clear.
Suppose you have got to find what works for you and what triggers off the migraine.

Seriously, sorry to hear about the headaches. I get them occasionally. Boy they can knock you out, eh?! Glad you are feeling better. Hope it didn't create too many problems with managing the chooks.

Hey Andrew, good to hear that all is clear on the test results
A friend of mine had a similar thing one morning like a massive migrane were she couldnt move her head or hardly walk.
I took her to the hospital and all clear.
They said it must have been a virus. It lasted most of the day aprox six hours then slowly went away and she never had it again.
BLASPHOMY!!!!!!!!!
block your ears my lil' chocky freind!
glad everything came back ok :)
