I actually do have some shots taken without any clouds present, but hey....I like them.
We missed totality unfortunately.

Hello JJJ
Great pics, sorry you missed totality but you were there!

:) I found another pic that shows just the smallest sliver of the Sun through the clouds. :)
Also sharing a pic of the Cruise Ship that was out off Port Douglas. I think there were a few IISer's on her. So thought they'd like to see her.

And I just found another photo, that with a little bit of enhancement in Curves, you can just make out the final sliver of Sun before Totality. The image was taken at 0656.

Nice shots, JJJ! The clouds do add a lot to the mood. Shame you missed totality, though...

Nice photos, JJJ. The clouds add a somewhat menacing tone to the images. Pity you missed totality.

Yeah I love the pics with clouds. Makes it more dramatic and beautiful

It's heart breaking that you missed totality.

My decision to go on a cruise to Moore reef was a fortunate one.
It was however difficult to capture good pics and video with the pontoon constantly bobbing up and down..

You have some great photos though.....

Thanks for sharing them...

A nice collection jjj... but I'm also sorry that you missed totality. I still can't believe that the cloud cleared where I was. I'm already thinking about Oregon in 2017!

Cheers,
Stephen

Nice images JJJ.. the sunrise one takes the cake for me.

The rest of my family and friends stayed at our Newell Beach house, just up from Port Douglas and missed out as well, so I am feeling your pain through them. I think the coastal scenery and changing light over the ocean is pretty speccy though!

Love the sunrise colors too. Really cool. You got a fair bit of the various phases too.
