We christened the new Obsy this week with NGC2070. I love this Neb, and am in awe of the fact that if it were as close as Orion M42 it would cast a shadow on the earth.

The new Obsy , 100% hand crafted on the thighs of an expat scouser, is here.

Its called the great Southern SHOB because my wife thought I was building a SHed, whilst I knew I was building an OBservatory ;-)

Taken with a modified Canon 30d and the skywatcher ED100 on a HEq5 Mount, 6 subs @ 1200 s, ISO 400

Thanks Ross. Going to redo NGC2070 as it needs to be better framed and processed but just pleased to get everything running.

Am in Middle Cove so have a few LP issues
