Gday, couple of pics of NGC5128 and NGC5139 under the glorious full moon  exposure time was limited to 120seconds and both where 5 frames combined {@640ISO/D70}.While I was focusing I forget to switch back to RAW files with the Cent A shot and didnt get any dark frames  Jupiter beckoned after midnight so didnt follow up with the DFs.

Good ones Stuart. That Omega is nice and sharp. They do look very blue though. What processing did you use to put them together?

Yeah Paul seems to happen when I shoot through the SCT, maybe the IDAS filter adds something plus at ther time of capture I was going to experiment with the white balance settings on the camera.Other then that its pretty straight forward , the frames are aligned/combined in Images plus , run through digital development a little mask processing and pixel math.

Very nice indeed!
Omega stars arevery crisp! And Centaurus is also excellent looking on 120sec with full moon!
well done

Hi Beren

Both of these shots are fairly severely clipped. You say you used ImagePlus Digital Development. If you used AUTO that can result is this clipping, making it very difficult to correct any colour balance with later processing. If this is the case, check out my article (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/index.php?id=63,277,0,0,1,0) to see how to fix it.

Cheers
