Here in Mackay we missed total "by that much" as Max would say. It got cold and eerie at max. The Sun was not hot and burning like it usually is.

A 3 shot sequence through an ED80 and a 50mm wide showing it just above the trees.

Nice shots! Good views from surf lifesavers at the Harbour as well; with the advantage of BBQ tables for the all important bacon and egg breakfast!

Great shots.

What was the camera and filter you used?

Greg.

Nice work mate, I was at Town beach viewing through the PST.
Showed quite a few people with the telescope, only got some happy snaps with my iphone.

Thanks Larry, Liz and Rob.

Greg, sorry I was in such a rush to get the pics up I forgot to include the details. Pentax K-x, Kson F5.5 ED80, GSO ED barlow, Orion glass solar filter, exposures were from 1/80 sec to 1/125 sec at ISO 200. The 50mm shot was taken through a 30nm Ha filter so I could shoot the Sun and trees at the same time. A trick I learned years ago with film.

Mick! I want to see through that PST sometime!
