I haven't pointed the scopes at the sky since Astrofest last August, so thought I might just blow the cobwebs off everything and check it's all still working while it's clear.

This is about 3hours of Ha in a combo of 15 and 5 minutes subs.

Atik 11000 camera, Baader filter, Takahashi FS-60 scope with flattener.

Cheers guys but Marcus is right, the hole in the front of the fs-60 isn't much bigger than the hole in the back.
It's a bit small for narrowband.

But I'm expecting an eq8 for xmas and that should be able to carry a scope with an enormous hole in the front :D

Nice work for such a runt of a scope, Robin :) How big do you plan to go once you have the EQ8?

It should be able to carry anything but the dome's not big at all so it's what will fit in I guess. One things for sure, it'll be a cheapy :P

Robin, I've bookmarked your photo in my iPhone to use as a finder chart for the horsie. It has such a lovely, understated nature that makes it ideal for my purposes. The stars are not over exposed, and the extension and prominence of the nebulosity is gental, but still very detailed. I'm still to see the Horsie, and your image will greatly help.

Thanks.

Cheers Alex, That might be the last image from me for a while. It looks like the dome's computer was also hit in the lightning strike here last Saturday, it's freezing up when is use and they have taken it away with all the other stuff :(
