Howdy all. I've decided on a ed80 scope for imaging to go with my unmodded eos dslr and am wondering if it might not be a good idea to include a filter in the purchase. I will be keen on nebs more than anything I guess and I have moderate small town light pollution. Quick look on Bintel and seeing the names of filters I never heard of before adds to the confusion. Is there a filter that helps with nebs in particular? Just get one for light pollution? If so what are they called. Should I just forget it or is there a place for them. Many thanks.

The Astronomik CLS may help. Do you intend to mod the camera or get a modded camera at a later date? If so the CLS-CCD will be more suitable, otherwise the plain CLS would be fine. They come as clip in for Canon or 48mm that screws into the T-ring or extension tube.
Oh that's another thing you may need to reach focus, a 2" extension tube. They come in 3 different lengths 35, 50 and 80mm. Get a couple! And camera adapter with a Canon T-ring.

Nice one Kevin. I found the very thing on bintel. And tubes. I'd have never thought of that. The t-ring I actually have . CHEERS
