ISS Spotting - New Service

Nasa has created a new service that can give you e-mail or text alerts when the ISS is about to pass overhead your location. Just sign up here:

It was covered today in the news:

I just signed up, but its a pity they don't allow for entry of lat long. The nearest "city" to me is Penrith... Bathurst doesn't even rate a mention...

Even better (IMHO) is www.twisst.nl. It will send you Twitter alerts of ISS passes. You can enter your exact Lat/Long - just follow @Twisst to start.

I've had 3 alerts since signing up and it's been brilliant. My son and I watch the ISS coming on Solar Walk, then go outside and view the pass.

Hope it works. In fact I saw the ISS tonight just by chance around 9pm flying acros Sydney, big and bright, definately felt more connected to it after watching that really cool tour of the ISS the other day.

Anyone worked out if the Sydney time is in Eastern Standard Time or Summer Time?
