Hello,

Looks like Mike and I were playing Lunar tag on Tuesday, imaging the same areas. I had far better seeing so have not yet had to endure the discomfort of Multiple Alignment Points to ensure all parts of the image are reasonably sharp. ;)

Anyhow, here is Gassendi as seen by the Philips 840K ToUcam, from Brisbane through the C9.25, x2.5 Powermate.

Captured via K3CCDTools:
Brightness: 50%
Gamma: 30%
Gain: 30%
5fps
360 secs

Processed in Registax:
Quality = 94%
Wavelets 1=20
169 frames stacked from 1800 captured.

Cheers

Dennis

Time to bump this thread me thinks!

Great image Dennis, the details....just great :) Good on ya for mentioning your setting in registax as well.

Just comparing Mikes feeble(don't hit me) offering to yours Dennis, no comparison really, yours is rotated compared to Mikes:D :P ! nice one!:)

Yes - the difference good seeing makes. I'm slowly coming to realise that unless I capture a good avi to start with, there's not much that I can do in the processing phase to dramatically improve the image.

Not sure if this is an indication of the immaturity of my processing skills, or an empirical limitation.

Is Sydney rotated relative to Brisbane - interesting?

Cheers

lol h0ughy..

Dennis's is a much nicer image than mine, can't even compare the rotation ;)

the further North you go the more rotated the orientation becomes, one thing I noticed when I went to Qld. Could be the flux capacitor:lol: there is a time warp up there:P

Love the images, keep them coming:thumbsup:
