I have an FS-60CB that I'd like to use at the eclipse.
Anyone ever connected a 35mm DSLR to one of these puppies?

I have all the red parts.
Do I just need part number #33, or, will I need to get an extension tube (or camera angle adjuster) as well in order to reach focus?
I've got all the appropriate parts for an FSQ-106N to successfully reach focus with a DSLR, but, none of those components can be used with the FS-60CB system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll place an order first thing in the morning once I have a definite answer.
Cheers.

From what I remember, you need both the CAA and the wide T-mount.
I have a feeling that you can't get focus without the CAA...someone else might be able to confirm this?

Argh. Another $300.
Damnit.
The reason why I'm unsure is because if you look at that chart, and, look at the very last row, that one is bypassing part 81, in place of a CAA instead.
However, if I have part 81 in place, and, not a CAA, I'd hope to think that I'd get in focus...
Either way, looks like a phone call to Claude is in the offing for tomorrow morning.

You could use extension tubes, but that might be trial and error. The CAA will definitely work. I have the flattener and bought all the bits, except the bit required to give close focus (<25m).
Unfortunately not cheap.

CAA it is, then.
Thanks, boys.

Chris just mentioned to me to use my EF 12 and EF 25 extenders to increase backfocus.
That's why we pay you the big bucks, Chris. Ideas man! :D

The EF12 or 25 will work, but I'd get the CAA too. Indispensable bit of kit.

I can't get a hold of Claudio. I've emailed and rang. Maybe he's out to lunch, but, can't wait much longer.
Hans, if you're able to loan me your CAA, I would be eternally grateful! I've just had a look at the system parts, the Sky90/FS-76 CAA should fit the FS-60CB. It's the TKA21200 part.
I will send you a pm. :)

Don't you need a flattener to take photos with that scope?

Probably, Robin. But, for the eclipse, I don't think it will matter -- the central portion of the image should be bang on.
In future, I'll invest in a flattener/reducer. I remember you got beautiful results with yours.
