Where do you go to escape the light? Darktime in Brisbane..

I live in Logan, and was wondering if you could recommend any places with less intense light pollution. I live 2km from the logan hyperdome :eyepop:

Where do you go to become a creature of the dark? Do you save it for a special trip away?

I'm up at North Lakes which is kind of on the border where city meets country and it's not too bad. My backyard is alright for schoolnights, but I usually just go down to the river about 10 minutes away for a darker sky and to get away from trees. It's a mangrove so there's loads of mozzies and bugs though. And it's not particularly local for you :)
