The good seeing of earlier in the evening had gone by 2:30am, to be replaced by a flickering and wobbling affair.
The clouds rolled in at 3:30am, before Jupiter had transited, but it would have been worth less than 1 degree of elevation anyhow.
Not good, but not the worst seeing we've had this season. This low elevation is making the colours a bit strange, but I'm persisting!

You did well considering Ivan.
Yes, it is tempting (almost irresistible!) to allow the planet to reach max. elevation before capturing isn't it. The seeing here is always best between 1AM & 2AM where as the max alt is at 2:30AM for me right now.
Even at my max 44 degrees the colours are a little bit richer & on the greenish tinge side.

Yes Asimov, between absorption and dispersion it's a bit strange.
Thanks Laurie. Definitely over processed, but this seeing is not lending itself to subtle processing!
Thanks Ray, I'm just going to keep on trying! Setting the alarm for 2am again as we speak.

Yeah, I've just come in. It looked pretty good on the live feed, here's hoping the stacked images come out. GRS and Oval BA were very nicely positioned.
