..and I believe this is a very appropriate title for this little one, an irregular galaxy in the constellation of Sagittarius known as Barnard's Galaxy

NGC 6822 (http://www.glitteringlights.com/Images/deepsky/13667287_7Mtr58#!i=2171467439&k=wpDd2Q9&lb=1&s=X3)

Often seen at higher imaging scale and quite interesting for her intense HII activity, in my image I tried to get a different perspective giving evidence to the intricate network of high altitude galactic dust clouds that permeate the area. Thanks to the quite long luminance it ended out a not so difficult task :)

I hope you will like it, as usual the max resolution view is recommended.
Ha (410m) L (620m) R (160m) G (120m) B (170m) with my usual setup

Wow Marco! You're really good at revealing that Cirrus dust, incredible :eyepop: I got a hint of it in a very short exposure of this galaxy back in 2010 with the Starfire, but here in yours it's so obvious that it is verging on being a distraction

Great work Mate, that's a lot of exposure!! You are really taking advantage of your remote facility and the good weather at Conna huh?

It's great to see that little galaxy in a larger context. Explains a lot of things. Top vista as usual.

Hoovering up nicely there. Great image. Perhaps address that blue star halo top center (that is a bit distracting). Other than that lovely work.

Another beautiful image Marco. I wasn't aware there was so much flux nebula in that region.

Cheers

Terrific work Marco!I had plans of doing this same wide shot a year ago when I took a test shot that revealed all the IFN around.....you beat me to It.

Well done.

Thanks for all nice comments mates, I have been out for a while and couldn't reply earlier! Dark skies are very important for these images, and Coona is a great location for that :)

Clear skies
