Matt send me one of his avi's from the 6th May, which he posted here (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=9778).

He was unhappy with his data, given the poor seeing.

I've processed the avi, and agree that the seeing is the main limiting factor to getting anything too useful out of the image.

Exposure and focus looks good, colour is good, but minor detail is washed out due to poor seeing.

Anyway here's my attempt using my normal methods. 110 frames of each channel were stacked. LR deconvolution of 5/1.2 on each channel, and a minor gaussian blur around the limb in photoshop to reduce the hard edge.

Thanks for that Mike. Interesting you took the iterations to 5 in AstraImage.

I don't think I dared go past 3.

I like the softer treatment you've given the overall image. I'm always concerned at how hard I push data where the quality just isn't there.

Thanks for the process and the comments.

I was a little worried you'd post an absolute cracka and I'd be left lamenting how abysmal my processing skills are.

Good to know the data just wasn't up to snuff.

Cheers mate
