Sitting here, exposing 10 frames of 5 minutes of NGC 1365 (and surrounding group), watching the capture frames, and seeing pinpoint stars, highly visible galaxies, and no discernible shift in star location from one frame to the next... good guiding, and DAMNED good mount and perfectly balanced with a spot on polar alignment. But, could someone turn off the Moon please. Damned bright enough to read a book out here!
Ah, all I need is a cold beer or a cognac! Got to be cognac, out of beer :)

Post the pics anyway. We're all curious now!

Amazing how fast 50 minutes of exposure goes when you turn off Canon noise reduction :) (if on, it takes a dark frame for the same length as the light and combines them - so a 5 minute exposure becomes a 10 minute shot, but worth only 5). BUT, I can dark subtract later :)
Gorgeous night here. Not real dark (but the moon sets in a few hours), getting cooler (my back is cold - need jacket now), and no cloud or wind...

Doing NGC 247 now - almost at zenith. Guider ain't liking that much... last 5 minute sub it alarmed twice. BUT, no trailing, so all good.
