Ironic after a slight injury to the missus, I have had to feed her bloody.., i mean her beautiful horse lately, Gee : ) Time consuming ? ?

Moving forward, I'm quite pleased with this image, only consisting of 8 x 6mins, with a stock (unmod) 600D, Orion 8" F/4, Nights are becoming warmer now, so hope next yr can get onto it earlier and do twice over two nights ?
Need a cooled camera to smooth out the red curtain, but ultimately RGB & Lum is the GO for this target !

Also 16 x 240sec on the Helix, Learning that a batch of longer Subs would help capture the fainter halos somewhat bettera : )

Hope you find it worth the look ?
Cheers !

Great framing on the Flame and Horsie. :)
Plenty of detail too for the amount of exposure time.

Nice going Bob!!

You really pulled out plenty of detail on both, that 600D works a treat.
Skies must have been good for the amount of data.

Cheers,

Justin.

How are you getting this much detail with these exposure times? What's the secret?

Ty jjj, some frames at 3200 iso to frame it somewhat, then I let the camera cool while guide calibration happens and into it : )

HiYa Mario & Thanx, prob go in the EH this month ?

TY Pluto

Cheers Larry

Hey thanx Steve, a popular target, and never looses it appeal for some

Hiya Justin and thanx for your comment, 600D's are pretty good with this type of astro for a mid level dslr, skies were much better on the weekend, reports of best in yrs, couldnt make it and had to except what Tues had on offer, great transparancy but seeing lacking somewhat ! Weds was the opposite, strange huh ? I was just greatfull for no clouds : )

Thankya kindly Rick

Thanx for the complimentary comment cc, no secrets allowed mate ;) Actually, that night the Transparancy was next to best, so I think it played the biggest part

Ty ourkind & great targets to have in the collection, so i think you'll be happy with what they have on offer
