Maybe, just maybe, faster than light speeds aren't so impossible after all. Well, it's worth thinking about, anyway.

Interesting how Special (and General) relativity is a stomping ground for both physicists and mathematicians.
There is actually nothing new to a faster than the speed of light version of special relativity.
Special relativity is a symmetrical theory where one version of the theory has the speed of light as a lower limit rather than the more familiar upper limit.
The term tachyon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachyon) well known to to Star Trek aficionados originates from this theory.
