Hello all,

I set out tonight to take some wide field images of the Moon through the 8"and DMK51 (first light tonight with the combo). I was really looking forward to the session but clouds did not help. I am usually prone to slight exaggeration but I really only captured one AVI before I gave up.
I wished for a little bit more (present a better image) but the exciting bit is the potential of this set up for big slabs of the Moon - yeah. I have reduced the image to 50% of original.
Looking forward to some night sessions soon!

Good stuff Matt! Wouldn't mind one of those 51's for this kind of work either.

Yes the thought of doing a Lunar mosaic would be a lot easier with a large sensor. Nice work. Looks forward to more.

Thanks all.

I have not done a lunar mosaic for years - give me the time and the skies and it is next on the list!

Good stuff Matt. Try some IR-pass filters.
