Hi Guys, I have a quick question, Alice has a Pay Pal Account and they have ask her to enter a one dollar and a two dollar amount in separate boxes, using only two digits only.

So how dose one type a $2.00 amount using only two digits

Many thanks in advance

True but they want Alice to enter a $1.00 amount and a $2.00 amount using only two digits for each amount.

Very strange. Are you able to post a screenshot?

How about $2 & $1?
I just tried this in my account (Send money) & entered $2 in the amount box. Next screen showed $2.00.
Hope this helps.

Mathematically, 1.0 and 2.0 are the same as 1 and 2 and 1.00 and 2.00 respectively.

The request sounds a little odd. Are you sure she s connected to a real paypal page. There are quite a few paypal scams out there that ask you to enter odd information.

When you first open a paypal account and give them a credit card and bank A/C they will put some money ($2) into the A/C for you to verify with a code

Hi Leon,

I think that they are just after the cents. So, if you enter 17, it'll be $1.17 or $2.17, depending on the field that she's entering into.

And does and dose are completely different words...

Cheers

Leon, I have done this several times and the two-digit amount has always been in cents only which PayPal have deposited into your bank account. I have never had dollar amounts deposited. If you do enter the incorrect amount you will get an error message.

Yes they just want the cents on the end, not the dollar bit.
