I took this data a couple of months ago and had trouble combining all the data together in a tone and colour that made me happy. I am still a little uncertain about how this image looks, but for now I think it might be something close to what I was trying to achieve.

That's really nice Paul,
The Tarantula is perfect for the KAF-8300 -
10 minute subframes without burning out any star.
That's giving you so much more star colour too.
60 subframes - a lot of work - & I'd love to see the full size.
Well done.

Man that's just Terrible .

Somehow u managed to spray red stuff all over the screen and then somehow - I don't know how u did it but it seems that u put the Tarantula deep inside it, so it's like a 3-D'ish painting :)

Way to go ! :) Well done.

Now for the Rembrandt.

The detail there is as good as any narrowband wide field Tarantula I've seen Paul. The only thing that bothers me is that it looks a bit cluttered. Perhaps think about fading the stars a bit?

Cheers

It's a difficult field for sure, but you've well and truly nailed this one Paul. Congrats on a great image. :)

Great image Paul!

Just love the different perspective your filter combination puts on the Tarantula.

Cheers,

Justin.

Very nice Paul shame you couldn't resolve the central cluster as well

Great details. A bit muddy looking to my eye. It'd be great if you could bring out more of the reds or the mustards. I love the blues.

Hey thanks guys for all the comments.

Steve, funnily enough this has had several treatments to the stars to get them smaller. It could do with some more though. I will experiment.

Greg, I will see what I can do with the colours. When I get back from Cairns I will visit this again.

Great image Paul, I really like this area there is just so much going on. It is interesting how, with the 160,000 light year distance, it is at a completely different scale, with plenty of clusters and supergiants sprinkled everywhere in between the nebulae. And you've captured it all in beautiful detail, great job.

Thanks guys for the comments.

Rolf the distance makes for a different view for sure. I often marvel and wonder how bright this area must be when viewed from say M42's distance. It must be very bright.
