long time viewer, first time poster

a shallow lagoon from last night.
8" f5 newt guided, Nikon d7000 ISO800, 20 x 30sec subs stacked in rs6, processed with GIMP 2.8

wanted longer subs but had issues with local light.

happy with the result give the limited data and lack of experience. (2nd attempt at a DSO)

That is a really good image Geoff, expecially for 30s at ISO800.
Very good tracking and sharp.
you will need a coma corrector as that's the only bit left.
you could use the lens tool in PS to reduce the effects of the coma but the permanent fix is a coma corrector.
what mount was it and what is rs6?
Cheers

thanks for the feedback :thanx:

will be looking in to a corrector, i think the camera isn't/wasn't square to the optical chain, coma looks worse on left of frame??? as i did not crop image... framing as taken

mount is a HEQ5, rs6= poor attempt at shorthand... registak6
also forgot to mention orion st80 guildscope and starshoot autoguider
