Hey guys,

I'm playing around with my mrs' camera. It's a canon 400d. I want to try some time lapse stuff, star trails etc for when we go camping soon. So I'm looking for an intervalometer, but not sure weather to get a cheap one from eBay or a more expensive one.

What do you guys use? And has anyone else used this camera for something similar? If so, how did you go?

Any input would be great :thanx:

$13 delivered from e-bay, brand name "Shoot". Works like a charm. In fact I am using it now on the 60D, doing 1 min subs on NGC 253

I've had 2 el-cheapo non genuine ones from eBay and they've worked fine, no issues...

I've only ever used the el cheapo Aperture branded version and only ever had one that wasn't up to scratch.

Awesome, sounds like the cheap ones are the clear choice. I'll grab one today.

Thanks all. :)

You've already made your decision, but it's another thumbs-up for the el-cheapo ones from me

Its good to be reassured even more, so thanks :)

I paid for a cheap one of those and a tripod. Last night i was playing around, just leaning the camera on the car roof and holding the trigger.
Some of the pictures turned out really cool and i could see a bit of colour in the stars, so I'm very excited to get some equipment and get out of the city.
