I want to simplify my imaging train. To that end, I'm thinking of swapping out my systems for something a little less complicated. So I'm looking to sell pretty much everything. All prices are near offer. All items - shipping paid by buyer
I have 2 rigs:
DSO'S IMAGING (package price $39,000, new price $72,500)
RCOS 12.5 with carbon fibre tube and electronic secondary focuser. Zerodur mirror $12,500 (> $20,000 new)
FLI Proline 16803 CCD $10,500 ($11,999 new)
FLI CFW 4-5 Filter wheel with 50mm LRGB square filters in addition to Ha, OIII and S $3,000 ($2,000 new without filters)
FLI Atlas focuser $2,800 ($3,099 new)
MMOAG $500 ($880 new)
BORG 72ED guidescope $450
SBIG ST402 camera (used for auto guiding) OFFER MADE
IPI393 German Equatorial mount (precursor to PlaneWave Acension 200 HR) $10,500 (Planewave Ascension $27,999 new):
11.5" aeroquest gears on both axes, PE out of the box ~ 2 arc secs (http://www.aeroquest-machining.com/)
Massive 3" axes on both right ascension and declination axes
Sidereal technology controller (original model) with radio remote control
2* 15 KG S/S counterweights and 1 * 30KG S/S counterweight all on a massive stainless steel shaft which is almost a counterweight in its own right
Has optical homing sensors on both axes which I have not been able to get working consistently
Seperate encoders on each shaft - not absolute
Losmandy saddle
WIDEFIELD IMAGING (package price $3,750, new price $7,160)
6" custom made Newtonian f3.95 with heavy duty carbon fibre tube, large secondary and custom rings $1,500 (no idea what this would cost, but parts alone cost more than $2,500. The build quality is excellent, similar to ASA scopes but without the red anodized dodads - you supply your own focuser)
Orion starshoot pro CCD, 6 MegaPixel OSC with single stage Peltier cooler -30 degrees below ambient $800 (current model $1,495)
Feathertouch focuser with motor drive and controller $750 ($934 new)
Burgess Backpacker 65ED guidescope $180
Orion starshoot autoguider $250 ($319 new)
EQ6 PRO German Equatorial mount $1,250 ($1,799 new):
EQDIRECT cabling
3 Counterweights
Controller updated to the latest version
PE +- 7 arc secs before PEC. With PEC I have been getting 4 minutes unguided images with round stars
A 48 point TPoint Model gave me 24 arc secs pointing accuracy
I'm looking for
Takahashi TOA130/150 with 4" focuser
FLI proline 31600
Paramount MX or PME
Id like to sell each rig as a package, but know from previous experience that it is unlikely, so I will take note of any reasonable offers on individual items. My preference is for any sort of offer that let's me end up with the combination I want and gives me a reasonable cash difference. I have $40k invested in the DSO setup and $4k invested in the WIDEFIELD setup
Inspections are welcome, I will take images of the two setups and send to your email address if you are interested.
Shipping is out of the question
