First light with the Vixen VC200L.
Few problems though. Soft focus, collimation is out (diamond stars/elongated stars).
Spent 4 hours last night trying to get it perfect. It arrived to me so far out of collimation that i think they forgot to collimate it back at Vixen!
I may need to invest in a Cheshire eyepiece. I think collimation is pretty damn close - but obviously it isn't.
Some bright stars have black hole syndrome. That's a processing fault.
Core blew out (whouda thunk it'). Tried to fix it a bit, could of made it worse.
Overall - happy with the scope and the image.
That being said, in a few months i'll revisit it with my ED80 and do 10min subs.
3hrs of data, 5min subs LRGB: 15:6:6:6
100%: http://core-au.net/astro/Collection/M42%20-%20Orion%20Nebula/vc200l.jpg
