Today I thought about stacking a bunch of subs that I've been collecting the last few weeks (between clouds).

DSS help guide explains that ISO and EXP records can be temporarily adjusted, so I did that and stacked the different subs below.

Is this how you go about stacking subs of the same image that have different settings? I also inlcuded all the darks I took during these sessions.

One positive so far is that I've squeezed out some more detail. Knowing how and doing it properly though would be a benefit :)

NGC 2070 The Tarantula Nebula
Canon 60d
5x60s exp 400iso
18x30s exp 800iso
11x10s exp 800iso

Sky Watcher ED80 Pro Gold Edition
Sky Watcher HEQ5
Orion Star Shoot Guider on a 50mm Scope
Backyard EOS Software
Stacked in DSS
Tweeked in PS CS6

Wait what? Why did you need to adjust anything? Just load up all the lights, darks, and bias frames you need for each ISO setting / exposure combination and add flat frames.

When you go to register DSS will show multiple results, one for each combination of ISO / Shutter. At the end of it all it should stack all the results together into one uber exposure without you needing to do anything special at all.
