Hello,

I thought it would be nice to create a montage showing the different apparent sizes of Jupiter between February and May 2006. I was quite surprised at how the image scale has changed!

It is also quite interesting to see how the surface details and systems have also changed during the same period.

All images were captured with the same configuration of:

Celestron C9.25
TeleVue x2.5 PowerMate.
Philips ToUcam 840K.

Cheers

A very nice montage Dennis, probably the only views I'll get down here, the weather is permanently overcast or raining at the moment. :rain:

That would look nice hung on a wall and framed.

Great stuff Dennis - interesting to see how far the GRS has been displaced from the white ovals (compare 4/02 to 15/04) and how it has neared its junior version. I wonder what will happen when those two "pass" each other - certainly a "kodak" (or should that be "ToUCam") moment!!

WOW Dennis, this more than anything demos your consistently high quality planetary product:D. No one, I reckon no-one does it sharper than you!

It's amazing too, I hadn't realise how much joop had grown in the last few months.

Very nice, Dennis. I didn't realise there was such a large difference in size either. There I was giving all the glory to my new scope.
