Here is a very small wave I photographed on the downstream side if a concrete creek crossing in NSW.
The conditions made for a perfectly shaped curling wave good enough to endlessly surf on, if only I was the size of a rodent on a tiny surfboard.
It lasted many days before the river flow changed and ruined this perfection.
Photo taken with a small Samsung handheld digital camera. re-sized ( not cropped ) and contrast etc. tweaked a little.

Last weekend the family all went down to Victor Harbor for the day. The wife and kids went to the Pt Elliot show while i had a couple of hours to go chase some whales. Never seen any but there was some ok swell that day.
I wave always wanted to photograph waves but never really have given myself the opportunity to just go for an explore. It was a very relaxing time spent down near the water.
.....almost made me wish i brought the Mal ;)

Just saw this and began thinking if I had a photo of waves that I could enter and remembered this shot I took. It wasn't taken this month but on our holiday late last year on our cruise to Fiji. This photo was taken on the early morning of our last port of call, Noumea. The "waves" here are actually created by the wake of the ship.
Shot on a Ricoh Caplio R6.

Here is a photo taken off my mate's boat. It is the underside of a wave - together with a few dolphins that were hanging around.
