Hi all, well I went to my new Chiro today and had my xrays, then an adjustment this afternoon and I have to say the guy is a total legend. I still have a little pain as I go to get up, but other than that I feel 100% on what I felt this morning. I was nearly crying this morning just getting out of bed.

The Doc is one of those Chiros that takes the scientific approach. He examines the xrays and draws them up with lines to determine where the real issue is. Anyway he moved 7 vertabrae and now I feel great. It was done on a moving table.

Apparently I have an S in my spine which would mean that I would be in a wheel chair by the time I am 50. And, after viewing the Xrays I have to say that I agree with him. My back is a mess, years of building work, being in the army running in boots, sitting in a chair now for work and when I was at Uni, little wonder. The doc says that he can fix my back and return to me normal health. This unfortunately comes at a price, six months of intensive work and seeing the Chiro at least twice a week. $$$$$$$$. After that he does an xray and if my back is straight I go onto once a month visits. If not I kill him.:P

However, from just one visit I feel that he at least knows what he is doing not like the other guy that I went to see twice and had days of pain followed by lesser pain. What a quack, and my mum has been going to see him for years. No wonder she is still suffering.

So with any luck I will be strong enough to set the scope up for Sunday night.

thanks for listening to my whining over the last two weeks.:ashamed:

No probs, Paul. I'm another who put his back out about 30 years ago and it still twinges. Just take it easy.

Ahhh yes, post traumatic builders/brickies/landsapers/deskworkers/etc disease. Gets most of us in the end. Some more so than others. My condolences Paul. Spent months on my back myself before (more than once). Get well soon. I hope you're able to catch the occulation.

I swear by chiro's.. I had a bad lower back when I played basketball and it pretty much stopped me from being able to play sport altogether.. my inflexibility in my hamstrings didn't help the situation much either.

I tried physio, massage, stretching, nothing helped. But the chiro fixed me up, and I still go once every 1-2 months, about 6 years later.

Finding a good one is the hard part - one that doesn't want to lock you into long expensive contracts and take all of your money. I had one of those to start with, now i've found one that is 2/3rds of the price, doesn't have any contracts and simply says "come when you feel you need it".

This chiro is great, but I am told that I need to go three times a week for the next three months and then twice a week for the next twelve months. Based on the shape of my spine I am not surprised. My spine looks like a lazy S. The chiro says that he can fix it and quite franky I believe the arguments that he has presented. Having an analytical mind has helped me reason it out.

I got into a program that would have normally cost 4900, but only now cost 2400. if I decide that it is not working at any time, then I will be refunded what monies are left over based on a $40 per visit. The total cost is I beleive good value and if it corrects my spine then it will be worth it. Besides what price can you put your health.

I must say that even after two visits I feel 100% better, I am still a little sore, but at least I can walk and sleep now. Besides, if it turns out that he is full of it and can't corrent the shape of my spine, then there is always the misleading and deceptive conduct provisions of both state and commonwealth acts to deal with that. I doubt that I will need to take these steps. My Girlfriend has been going to see him for years and she says that she feels fantastic most of the time. So I will give it a go, do the exercises he says, pay the money on monthly instalments and see how the review is in 3 months.

Good to hear paul...looks like your heading in the right direction improving your back.....

I am just thinking what you could spend the $2400 on......back or scope accessories....tuff choice...hehehe

Could you just tell your girlfriend your spending the money on the Chiropractor and bring home a Nagler instead........lol
